Cobb Arnett
At the time of this 1957 recording, U.S. saxophonist Arnett Cobb was still recovering from a serious car accident. In 1959, he recorded three strong albums for Prestige, including Party Time. Cobb was accompanied by pianist Ray Bryant, bassist Wendell Marshall, drummer Art Taylor and Ray Barretto on congas. Tracks like "When My Dreamboat Comes Home," "Blues in the Closet" and "Flying Home" make this album a top choice.
