Asteroid miners Big Pete and the Swede finish their shift with a near-fatal accident, so all they want is some rest. But why are the Pavanians dogging their tracks, and who keeps sending them messages from Bartlelski, a planet none of them know. Aramintha, Dolores and Maggie set out with the miners to discover what's going on, only to be left in the lurch when the miners are kidnapped. While the men are forced to search for clues to a legend, the girls have to learn how to pilot a spacecraft, or perish. The Perihelix is the first book of the Viridian series, a proposed trilogy. It's a race around the Alpha Quadrant to find pieces of a legendary weapon which will free the enslaved and deliver defeat to the enemies of the righteous.
