Working against time and the market, brusque Lieutenant Al Mason of the 16th precinct - a neophyte when it comes to the fast-track world of securities, equity offers, electronic trading, and mergers and acquisitions - recruits Merrick and Hodges' brilliant analyst Joseph Bartolucci to help him get a bead on the killer.
