Gram, I really do have some serious plans this year. I really do have to go to the beach, like I told you on the phone last week! As Heather and her mother jet from the cold, snowy landscape of Massachusetts to the warm, white sands of Florida, Heather can barely contain her excitement. What a difference a short flight makes! She's been ice-skating and romping in the snow at home, but in Florida she'll be having picnics, hiking among gators, pruning old growth, and planting petunias. And she'll be doing all of it with her beloved Gram and Grampa. She's most eager to make sure they spend a day at the beach-but it will ruin her secret if she tells everyone why. Heather has special plans for this trip, ones that she thought up all by herself. But she needs Gram's help to make them come to life. With her snow clothes, her sand clothes, and Gram's tenderness, Heather brings everything together to create the perfect connection between Massachusetts and Florida.
