Live and Give: Facebooking My Way Through Breast Cancer Mrs. Holly Rose

Live and Give is my inspirational journey through breast cancer. I am Holly Rose, a wife and mother of two, whose world was turned upside down at the age of thirty-nine after receiving a playful posting on Facebook reminding me to perform a self-breast exam. That night I did my self-check for breast cancer and, to my horror, I felt a lump. A week later a doctor coldly told me, ?What I see is not very good. You have a long hard road ahead of you.? Initially, my only thoughts were of my babies not having a mother and my husband living without a wife. For the next nine months I questioned, ?Why Me?? as I trudged through two surgeries, four months of chemo-therapy and two months of radiation. While I was going through my treatment I was compelled to write about my experience. Quickly, I realized I had a book in hand. I describe every horrifying detail of my treatment and every terrifying emotion that hit me during my journey through breast cancer treatment. Live and Give is so much more that a story about breast cancer. It is really a book about true love, a mother?s love, and friendship . . . a story about life and finding your blessings no matter what God has dealt you. As I Facebooked my way through breast cancer, I discovered many of my life?s lessons, which I share. I witnessed how genuinely beautiful and caring people are, I relived seventeen years of true love with my hubby and I poured out my endearing love for my babies. Ultimately, through my pondering, I did find my meaning in this wonderful life . . . To live and give.
