The Puppet Man: New & Selected Poems Don Wallis
The Puppet Man: New & Selected Poems
Don Wallis
Well, I've tried to blend my post-Wwii childhood memories, rooted in rural California, my practical experience during the 1960s Berkeley Riots, my formal Intellectual and Cultural History of the Modern World studies at the University of California, Santa Barbara, and my experiments as an artist, actor, puppeteer and writer over the last fifty years -- to build these poems in the Oral Tradition to be my sincere and humble contribution to American Poetry and my personal attempt at Social Activism by speaking deeply from my heart and mind on behalf of all children and mental health patients all over the world. Thanks.
