They were a church family. Their troubled daughter was a Sunday School kid. She had been on mission trips, excelled in school and had been a youth leader. She had not been the result of a broken family or abusive parents. She was expected to be the best because she was a product of the best. I had to read and take note of this story. This was the real thing. The spiritual battle Steve and Tracy Gibbs went through will dislodge other believers from faith in the predictable and engage them in the power of the Almighty in real life experience.
