The history of the Sophistry Movie began three years ago when I was gathering information at our family reunion to write a sequel to Roots because my relatives had traced their genealogy to Alex Haley's family tree. A guest at the family reunion asked if I were an author. I told her that I had written my dissertation, a book, to earn my Ph. D. She then asked me to write her story and said she was a preacher's wife. I accepted her request to write her story and gathered testimonies of other church members and students. I decided to collect research information on similar cases focusing on Sophistry, which means peers upholding wrongdoing of other peers. During this time Dylan Kliebold had upheld Eric Harris' killing of twelve students and one teacher and presidents, teachers, doctors, sport heroes, and lawyers were involved in similar sophistry cases. I realized that there was a dire need for Christianity, ethics, and morality in our society and schools, particularly since prayer and religion had been taken out of the schools. This year, however, the Ten Commandments have been reinstated in schools. Moreover, the terrorist situation we are facing here in the United States which involves over eighty countries could be resolved if peers would stop upholding wrongdoing of other peers. Furthermore, adults, children, and future generation students need to learn that, contrary to popular opinion that everything is relative, there is right and wrong behavior and that one's behavior or one's sin affects us all. I wrote the novel on a part-time basis, while teaching full-time during a two-year period. I completed the novel and self-published about 100 sample copies. Most of the copies I gave to family and friends and the rest were sold at the International Newsstand. I was invited to the Black Chamber of Commerce Black Writer's Exhibition.
