Faith of Our Mothers is a unique approach to well-known stories, helping to bring biblical characters to life before our eyes. This book contains many monologues that portray biblical women who went above the expectations of the day, eager to teach others about the love of God. Through use of these monologues, lay people and church leaders alike can don the personalities of women such as Eve, Mary, Esther, and more. Many of the women were part of the genealogy of Jesus.

This work can be used for church women's groups, during Wednesday night fellowship, vacation bible school, worship services and seasonal services. Although this book does consist of monologues and costume ideas for each performance, there is no difficulty falling into the roles provided by LaNell Johnson.
