The Curtain Call of Zeus Cary Briel
The Curtain Call of Zeus
Cary Briel
I began writing these poems as a distraction from the writing I?ve been doing in a longer book that?s now twenty-five years in the making. But what began as a distraction, soon became enjoyment, and I found that I could hardly go a day without writing a poem. Most of the poems I?ve included in this short book have allowed me to speak to a topic in the field of metaphysics without needing to explain, which I?ve found to be wonderful, considering that the longer book I?ve been writing attempts just the opposite. Here, however, I leave it to you, the reader, to dissect my words, if you will, and hopefully find meaning in them that will relate in some way to your own meaningful and mystical experience in this life. I sincerely hope that you enjoy the poems.
