The Killing of Sara Love
Eddie Lay
Big Daddy Brown, a linebacker for the Broncos gets roped into covering for his father, who is sheriff of Tucumcari, Colorado, while the sheriff is recovering from an unknown illness. He agrees, but when training camp starts in a couple of weeks, Big Daddy intends to be there. Being sheriff of a small town isn't that bad until a well-known romance author is murdered. Then the body of Big Daddy's best friends son is found and self-doubt sets in. More bodies turn up, and self-doubt starts to spiral into depression, but before that happens, salvation is found in the arms of Cathy, his high school sweet-heart. When she is attacked anger pushes Big Daddy to swear that he will bring the killer to justice or kill him. If you like solving the mystery and discovering whodunit, twists, and turns in the story, and a surprise ending then this book for you.
