Paul Marchegay
In 1850, the archivist Paul Marchegay travelled to England to document French cartularies in English collections, including two famous manuscripts - the cartularies of Saint-Florent prés Saumur and Fontevrauld - which had gone missing thirty years earlier. Cartulaires Français en Angleterre (1855) contains detailed descriptions of these and several other volumes.
