George Sturt (1863–1972) was a British wheelwright and writer who generally used the pen-name George Bourne. First published in 1913, this volume contains Sturt's descriptions of the community, hardships, daily lives and experiences of a variety of characters in his village through conversations with his gardener, Fred Bettesworth.
