Emile Petitot
French missionary Émile Petitot (1838–1916) spent twelve years in Canada's Northwest Territories. His boundless curiosity led him to become a cartographer, ethnologist and linguist of the area. This book, first published in 1876, is one of his invaluable contributions to the understanding of complex Dene dialects.
