Benjamin Moseley
Benjamin Moseley (1742-1819) was an English doctor who worked in Jamaica for eighteen years and witnessed the island's sugar boom. In his history of sugar, first published in 1799 but updated in this 1800 edition, Moseley discusses the plant's origins, development and cultivation, and its many uses.
