Leonard Jenyns
Although devoted to his parish, Leonard Jenyns (1800–93) combined his clerical duties with keen research into natural history. This 1846 publication was the product of two decades spent observing the wildlife that shared his surroundings in eastern England. It covers quadrupeds, birds, reptiles, fish, insects and molluscs.
