Conversos of the Americas highlights a barbaric and gruesome religious episode, namely the Spanish-Portuguese Inquisition, Spanish Civil War, and explores the subtle and hidden identity of the New World Hispanics, most of whom are descendants of Jews who have merged with Native Peoples of the Americas and from Africa. There are few descendants from Mexico´s conversos except for crypt-Jews who could not flee North to New Mexico.
