Vanay, Collette, Alexis, and Dana are anxious to make your acquaintance. Vanay, a mall employee, makes immature decisions causing constant upheaval in her life. Collette, a well-to-do college student, although grounded by her moral and spiritual beliefs, struggles with her sexuality. Alexis, the stylist, desires to have a salon of her own, but won't make the necessary sacrifices. Dana, a part time waitress, prefers to date outside of her race, against her parent's wishes. Subjected to the pressures of life surrounding college life, self-employment, and womanhood, these youthful women learn, sometimes painfully, the lessons life teaches. Experiencing many serious ordeals, drug addictions, pregnancy, marriage, and lastly death, four friends discover, through a desperate event, that real friendship does come in different shades.
