Three volumes of Martin Hewitt stories were published before the publication of his most famous novel A Child of the Jago (1896). Sir Arthur Ignatius Conan Doyle, DL (1859-1930) was a Scottish author. He is most noted for his stories about the detective Sherlock Holmes. He was a prolific writer whose other works include science fiction stories, historical novels, plays, poetry, and non-fiction.
