Her Cumberland is an imaginary historical novel attributed to the author?s long fascination with writing mixed with her childhood acquaintance with the characters within.

"Being near the river and within sight of Rebecca?s block house had influence on my mind and inspired me to write this book. Although, I have not been there in many years the memory and spirit of the characters and the life they lived come to life quickly, in trying to capture the flavor of their time."

The family?s expedition, chronicled with her passion for the lone survivor, weaving history--intertwined with imagination-- showcasing an extraordinary character and capturing the romance of river travel.

Susan Paisley is also working on a children?s illustrated book, writes poetry, and is attending art school.
