Poems and Stanzas George Lysloff
Poems and Stanzas
George Lysloff
Those 62 poems are words spread out over nearly a life time - Originally composed as classic French verses, they were translated by the author into free verses in the English language. The poems are lyrical at first very sentimental in nature and contents, later somber and sometimes filled with despair. They reflect the author's very personal philosophical orientation in a strictly subjective manner. Those are mostly as presented in the "black" examples of the author's work. Many of the poems date back to the years following the end of WWII, when the author experienced his first love in a Bavarian town in Franconia, a part of Bavaria in Germany, where he landed with his family as a refugee from the Red Army Advances.
