Nobody's Hero: a Reluctant March Through the Middle East
L D Jones
This is the story of a man, who, having left the Army some years previously and forged a very successful civilian existence, is forcibly recalled, due to the apparent national emergency of wanting to invade Iraq. The author is then sent, directly, without preparation into the front-line of the invasion force, wearing very conspicuous green coloured combats and without a full compliment of that most necessary of commodities - enthusiasm. Beneath the danger and confusion surfaces the darkest of humour, as the story develops from falsehood, into farce, with only the people present to provide and semblance of common sense and decency. This is indeed a most bizarre tale.
