THE DISAPPEARING POLITICIAN WITH MILLIONS OF DOLLARS: "Tropical adventures continue with Retired Sergeant Tom Parker and Chamorro warrior Carlos Montano. An errant Saipan governor, Ignacio Antolin, takes off with 4.5 million dollars of the "people's money," and along the trail of investigations and searching, the lads soon discover that the governor had vamoosed to Europe, then the Caribbean, and was now hiding somewhere on a remote island in the vast Pacific. The governor abandoned his wife in California and simply disappeared. The investigators can't expect much help from the local bumbling police chief, Joaquin Cruz, a political appointee, or the governor's "see nothing - hear nothing" family and former staff.

In their persistent manhunt, Tom and Carlos come across dog-nappers, porno stars, schools of mantas, marijuana plantations, prosties, World War II munitions, hash house harriers, tragic histories, and an erratic, eccentric ship captain with a gorgeous first mate. Romance blossoms with "the screaming Haole lady" on Pohnpei, and the lads are led to temptation with a voluptuous lady from the Solomon Islands at a sakau party.
