Welcome to Spanish for Law Enforcement Personnel, a text designed for beginning level language students who are currently working or who will be working in law enforcement. This text is different from others in the field, for it does not assume that you already know Spanish. You learn need to know phrases and grammar, which are minimized and presented as an effective means of communication. You will be taught how to participate in everyday conversations with Spanish-speakers, while at the same time be guided through a variety of work related activities. There will be ample opportunity for you to use Spanish in real-life situations. You will spend class time doing communicative activities that use the basic vocabulary essential to the field of law enforcement.
