The story of his life and events as an evacuee during world war two, was inspired through watching, programmes on various TV channels and felt that not all the stories in every case were being aired. Since writing his story, Seven Half Crowns and handing it out to a number of people, for opinions and feedback is surprised at the number of ex-evacuees who also had bad experiences. Those stories of course were not all confined to the beautiful country of Wales where since Mr. Williams spent most of his holidaying life and is now retired in Somerset
