Robert Kennedy as Attorney General appointed both of them primarily on the recommendations of the Secret Service and the FBI. After WWII Col. Habetraw was an MP was in charge of looking for the escaping SS, the gestapo and other high ranking German officials to avoid criminal prosecution of ?War Crimes against Humanity? throughout Germany and Italy. Because of his experience in tracking down and investigating these runways he was asked to repeat his success and come out of his retirement as a civilian, now running an import and export business based in New York City. Mrs. Angie Bruno Habetraw?s parents came from Como, Italy, and had extensive knowledge of both Italian and German languages and were thought to be a big asset in helping to uncover the counterfeiting because of her uncle?s involvement with the Mafia in Como, Italy, and her Bruno Connection.
