This book ""Guardians"" is an intriguing autobiography by Brunard
Brascomb. This work recounts events from his formative years and the
people who influenced him.

The work begins when the author was six years old. After attending
church, the children persuaded their father to drive through the park.
On the way through , they befriended a woman feeding ducks. Soon, she
introduced herself as ""Mabel."" From that moment on, this stranger
became known as ""Aunt Mabel"" and joined the family gatherings. She also
took an interest in the children and took them on bus trips to various
parts of the country.

Mabel mentored and cared for the author and his siblings throughout the
rest of her life. Unfortunately, she succumed to cancer. While she is
no longer with him, her presence is felt daily. It was her actions that
inspired the author to live his life in a similar manner.

This book ""Guardians"" is not just an autobiography: rather it is a
lesson on the influence that people have in our life. Mr Brascomb
recognizes that fact and ,in writing this work, pays homage to his
parents and Aunt Mabel. He, in turn, inspires the reader to become an
""Aunt Mabel"" in someone else's life.
