The story is about a little girl named Miriam who lives on a farm with her parents and her grandmother. Miriam is very happy and all the farm animals are her friends. Her grandmother Begonia tells her stories about the farm animals. Miriam loves to hear her grandmother's stories. Grandmother Begonia also tells her stories about the majestic eagle. She says that the eagles are the spirits of their ancestors and that they fly gracefully in the sky watching over the family. One day Miriam finds a baby eagle in the forest and the eagle becomes her friend. Miriam dreams of flying like the eagle. "Just for one day," she said, "I wish my arms were like wings so I could fly in the blue sky and touch the clouds."
