Things I Remember Patrick Ellam
Things I Remember
Patrick Ellam
Patrick Ellam tells of his early days in England, then in the army at the start of World War II, then defending London against German bombers. Then a notice said: "Officers are urgently needed to volunteer to drop alone behind the enemy lines" so he volunteered and went to a Spy School, where he learned Burglary, Forgery, Knife Fighting and other useful things. Then he spent the rest of the war in the top secret Special Operations Executive, first in France and later in the Far East. And he was not allowed to write anything about it for fifty years.
