Through the Gate of Glory
Ronald D Hobden
Dr. Hobden has learned that walking through life experiences, be they deep valleys of health, prairies of calm, or mountains of joy, have reinforced the blessing of allowing God to take complete control. Such experiences can serve as the foundation of a person's faith and their preparation for life in Glory.
Dr. Hobden is a retired pastor and missionary to Japan. Married for over sixty years, he and his wife, Elaine, have seven children, nineteen grandchildren, and eighteen great grandchildren. His trust in God has been his greatest strength as he served as a police officer, a corrections officer, a pastor on an isolated northern reservation, in numerous congregations across Canada, and in ten years of missionary service to Japan. Following retirement, Ron and Elaine transitioned to a condo in Saskatoon where they continue to serve, now in a lay capacity.
