Cold Canyon Drive
Jill D'aubery
It?s 1943 and America is at war. Three houses and a water tower crown the top of the hills high above fabled Hollywood on a gravel road called Cold Canyon Drive. An elderly couple lives in one, an English screen-writer and his son rent another, and Betty Lawson and her young daughter live in the third house. When Betty?s friend, Valerie, comes from the Midwest to spend a quiet summer vacation, all hell breaks loose on top of the mountain. It seems that someone is sending radio signals to Japanese submarines that are prowling the ocean off the coast of Los Angeles. And the signals are coming from Cold Canyon Drive. Fear grips the mountain-top and soon Valerie and Betty are fighting for their lives. The terror of World War II has landed in their own front yard.
