Chris Freer is a yachtsman who spent 50 years designing, sailing and building yachts all over the world. This is a fascinating insight into some major projects from Americas Cup and Whitbread circumnavigation, the rebuild of the world's first J Class Velsheda and his own Anarchist-the first yacht tested to make negative leeway. Starting with the famous Sydney Harbour skiffs he worked in a sport and industry at a time when it was moving from classic timber construction through the fibreglass revolution and into the advanced materials and hydrodynamics we have today.
