When Baggins, a champion racing dog, is injured during a race, his owner callously abandons him in a wooded area and drives away, leaving him to fend for himself. There, Baggins meets Evader, a black cat, and the two become fast friends. When Baggins and Evader are captured by County Animal Services, Evader explains that, because of their black fur, they have little chance of ever leaving the shelter and finding a family of their own. When the shelter's manager takes a special interest in them, it looks like their luck may finally change for the better. Will Baggins and Evader find their forever home?
