Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house- Wait! What about the first ever Christmas story? Sure, we all know the Christmas that is celebrated today with stockings hung by the chimney, anxious children sleeping with one eye open while they wait to hear the footsteps of Santa Claus - but where did it all originate? For tonight is a special night as Mary already knew, God's son, baby Jesus is born for me and you. This is the story of the first ever Christmas: the birth of God's only son, Jesus. We still celebrate Jesus's birthday even two thousand years later, with gifts to each other, but we need to remember the real reason for all of it - the birth of our Lord and Savior. About the Author Glenda Owens works as an Administrative Assistant at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Gloucester, Virginia. She has been married for forty-two years to her high school sweetheart.
