Publisher Marketing: This new paper book of the author, in the series of works dedicated to the practitioner in humanistic social work, starts from the thesis that humanistic social work theory/axiology considers the psychological-humane resources of the professional, expressed in humane and spiritual qualities, one of the most important factors for the psychological rehabilitation and social reintegration of the persons in difficulty, of the clients. Humanistic social work, as the third way in contemporary social work, argues, therefore, the necessity of a new optic regarding the professional, its roles, behaviors and qualities. In the light of this optic the personality and behavior of each professional from a service or institution of social care/work represents important conditions and factors in the process of rehabilitation/integration, in providing of some optimal humane conditions for the beneficiaries' comfort and happiness. So, if traditional social work prioritizes qualities and behaviors of the professional such as mercy, compassion, contingent physical and emotional care, and critical social work qualities and behaviors such as visionary, determination, creativity, humanistic social work, as the third way, takes them from the both sides, but comes with many new qualities, related to a model of personality highly developed, spiritually, humanly and culturally. To this end, humanistic social work theory/axiology, through the values and priorities that it promotes, propose a displacement from the simplistic, traditional or structuralist-functionalist paradigms of representation the professional towards a complex paradigm, humanistic stated and assumed, thus highlighting also a tendency of the contemporary social practices, of accentuation the importance of the spiritual and humane factors in achieving the performance and fulfilling the objectives centered simultaneously on rehabilitation but also on sustainable changes (of the individuals and groups/ communities). In this paper the author focuses the interest on a number of qualities of the professional considered representative for the way in which it describes humanistic social work as the third way in contemporary social work theory and practice, that have, as the main psychological-personal source, what the author calls Humane Personality, with three constitutional spheres: the psychological-ontological sphere, the axiological-moral/prosocial sphere, and the motivational-energetical sphere. It is about humane and spiritual qualities such as Empathy and Compathy, Spiritual Welfare and Virtue, Happiness and Eudaimonic-Altruistic Energy/ Motivation, Personal Development, Humane Development and Humanity.
