The Collected Works of Dionysius the Areopagite

Using the translation of Dionysius's works by Rev. John Parker, this important piece of church history shows how the theological thinking of the early medieval church began. Although the name suggests that the author was one of the apostle Paul's disciples, the criticism of the text suggests otherwise. This text is especially important as the two books "The Heavenly Hierarchy" and "The Ecclesiastical Hierarchy" have shaped our modern thinking on angels and heavenly beings. Although some of this thinking may be incorrect or unsupported Biblically, it nevertheless has shaped how many of us think on these topics.
