Meg Brighton is a nineteen-year-old aspiring journalist and social misfit. She moved to Seattle to pursue her dream of doing what she loves most, now spending her mornings at a local coffee house, and she often wishes that she could edit and delete parts of her life. It sometimes seems that she's completely alone; that is, until she becomes the new muse of Lane Collins. Lane is a brilliant photographer with a love of life perhaps much broader than her own, and when he walks into the coffee shop on a rainy morning, Meg finds that her story will never be the same again.
