The Useful Family Herbal Professor John Williams
The Useful Family Herbal
Professor John Williams
This little work is one of the more notorious tracts of herbal and folk medicine of its era. Written in the early 19th century, it contains dozens of receipts (recipes) for medicinal cures and a short index of medicinal plants and their usage. Within the realm of folk magic and the occult this is one of the more physical branches of interest; it should be noted of course that many of these medical products are potentially dangerous and many rely heavily on a few dozen components; among which notably are rum, wine, chamomile, tobacco, and molasses.
