After the dreadful accident, Molly and Tanya are rescued and taken to Brookwood Hospital, a remarkable facility recognized for its ingenuity and canny ability to heal through the use of happiness. However, Molly discovers that joyfulness is not genuine and not without a price, as her new friends, Jessica and Brittany, relay coded messages unveiling the frightening truth. She soon realizes that colors are weapons used to control her and the other patients, and that only she and a few others are capable of recognizing it. So, Molly plans to escape from Brookwood until she learns that her mom is finally on her way to pick her up. She's secure in the hope of their reunion until the night that her friends betray her.
