For more than a decade, I have answered the question, "How are you?" with the words, "It's the best day of my life." Reactions vary: "Wow! I love that attitude?" "Really?" "Did you win the lottery?" "Are you divorced?" "So far, eh?" "I really can't believe that!" "What about your wedding day?" "Don't you get tired of saying that?" To this last response, I reply, "Don't you get tired of saying, "Fine"?One woman was incensed that I would claim today as my best day instead of the day I got married or the days when our children were born. However, I explained that my wife would rather have me cherish her today than pretend that I'm college age! In fact, I love her more today than I did then. And I loved my children when they were born, but I celebrate them today. This book refuses to believe that anyone's life doesn't matter.
