Virginia McBride is a young socialite who, at 18, should be living the life of luxury instead of hiding in the shadows. Someone wants to kill her and they won't stop until they succeed. They have already murdered her parents. When her uncle and guardian, Anthony, presents her with an arranged marriage, she knows she has to flee the one place she felt safe. Instead of running scared, Ginny is determined to find out who is behind the threats and to bring an end to the curse plaguing the United Earth Charity (UEC), even though it could mean her life. The UEC has made some dangerous enemies in their pursuit of giving care to all, despite where on earth they live. One of these is the Spider Web, an international group of child aduction and human traffickers. Can they keep Ginny safe while they battle the enemies? What have they done to rile up the Spider Web to produce its relentless attack? Helping others shouldn't be so hard.
