Gerdie, a Swedish woman living in northern Minnesota, discovers Minn in a bushel of cherries from Michigan and invites the little mouse to share the comfort of her cozy cabin in the woods. A series of events separate the pair, and Minn embarks on a journey around the state, trying all the while to find her way home to Gerdie and the cabin.
