At the conclusion of the 1992-93 NHL season, the Minnesota North Stars franchise was moved from Bloomington to Dallas. The word North was dropped from their name. Soon thereafter, Met Center (the home to the North Stars) was demolished. In what seemed like the blink of an eye, all evidence of the North Stars' existence was gone.
