For Kim McCormick, those seconds revealed a diagnosis of ovarian cancer. As devastating as that news might be, what we learn from Kim's chronicle of her surgery, the follow-up chemotherapy, and the slow climb back to health is that a life threatening disease does not have to extinguish our power to enjoy life.
