In "The Wisdom of Howard" the author, Howard Chapman, has brought together a number of his newspaper columns published over the years. His writing reflects a background of experience in law, economics, public affairs, and Midwest values. Sometimes, with tongue in cheek, he offers the reader the opportunity to take an "Opinion Quiz," to test the reader's opinions on a broad variety of issues. Even if (when?) you don't agree, you will usually find a few chuckles. Despite the passage of time, the topics of the columns, and the insights they provide, seem timeless. The author's readable style makes this book an excellent traveling companion, since any column can be enjoyed on its own, and they can be read in any order. Or, just pick it up some time and read it cover to cover. You won't be disappointed.
