Contributor Bio: Schuyler, Suzzane K Suzzie started sewing at age eight along with her two sisters. Their grandmother taught them on her Singer treadle machine and had all the girls sewing up a storm within a short time. Suzzie's love of sewing carried over into quilting when she grew up. Quilting has always been her stress reliever from her occupation in the field of radiology. She likes to challenge herself, so she would alter quilt patterns to make them her own. Suzzie's quilt sisters found her altered patterns to be interesting and started asking her to change, redesign, and draft patterns to suit the focus fabrics they wanted to incorporate into their quilts. Eventually Suzzie started her own quilting business, Sew Bee It. Suzzie absolutely loves coming up with quilting designs for quilts in order to give them that finishing touch. As the business grew, she began teaching quilting patterns and techniques, and decided to share her experiences by publishing.
