The Brodick Follies
Les Brierfield
Harry Brodick, an aging soldier of fortune, is found dead in Thunder Ridge, a small Colorado Rocky Mountain ski resort. Harry has led a risky life and planned to retire quietly with his much younger Vietnamese wife, Nan, and their seven-year-old son. But his last score with underworld kingpin Santos Aguilar is jeopardized as Harry draws unwanted attention from international authorities, leaving Santos no choice but to eliminate Harry. The resort town becomes a hotbed of illegal activity as contract killers mingle with building contractors and even the recently widowed Nan seems to have her own agenda. Cleverly written with intriguing characters and twisted plots, The Brodick Follies is a non-stop adventure of conspiracy, deception, and murder.
