A thorough revision of the author's dissertation, 'Bible in Ethiopia' takes advantage of new developments in Ethiopic studies and in the practice of New Testament textual criticism. This new work benefits from full collations of the versional evidence, and as a result the textual alignment with the various Greek text-types is clear. Accruing evidence continues to move the date of translation earlier and earlier. The A-text of Acts can now be regarded as a faithful witness to a Greek text circulating in eastern Africa in the late fourth century. As such the incorporation of the Ethiopic version into New Testament textual criticism is a desideratum.
