Terry Moore, comic strip cartoonist, whose "Little Hercules" was as well-known as Charlie McCarthy, thought it was a grand idea to involve his famous character in a comic strip murder. But when Ramon Toros was found dead in Hollywood, the police wanted to know why the adventures of "Little Hercules" bore such a strange resemblance to the incidents which had brought about Ramon's death. And when the trail of the red-headed girl led straight to Terry, even Dan Colby, the big New York detective who was Terry's friend, wondered how much he knew.

This is a typical Francis Wallace story, written at the same top speed which made him famous with Razzle Dazzle and Kid Galahad. Little Hercules was first published in 1939.
