A Return to the Ashes tells the story of a nomadic group who survived after a massive seven-headed dragon, known as a balaur, burnt down their village in the mountains. After being rejected by every nearby kingdom-due to the monarchs' cold-heartedness or a lack of resources-they sought to look out for each other, under Lumina's leadership, while recruiting street orphans and training up their members to be highly-skilled spies and assassins over the years. Now, calling themselves The Phoenix, they look to subvert power structures in a way that puts the authority in their hands, while staying invisible - a whisper in the wind believed by most to be a myth.
